Material and build
Kitsch is upfront that this is satin rather than silk, and the weave is dense and even. Satin is a weave, not a fibre — the low-friction surface is real, but the fibre underneath is polyester, so you lose silk's moisture behaviour and its natural resistance to dust mites.
The first night
Slippery in a good way. Hair moved freely and the case stayed put thanks to the zipper. By about 3am I was warm — polyester holds body heat in a way mulberry silk does not, and that was consistent across every night I used it.
Where it fits in real life
